FHLE presents itself at the Gardenia exhibition. They created a unique decoration from plant waste

The most beautiful spring exhibition opened its doors on April 27. The 24th year of the Gardenia 2022 exhibition at the Agrokomplex exhibition centre in Nitra offers gardeners, fruit and vegetable growers and flower and tree lovers a lot of inspiration. The Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of the SUA also presents itself in Pavilion M1

In the FHLE exposition, visitors can get acquainted with the activities of the faculty and the offer of accredited study programmes.

The modern minimalist exposition of the faculty was created by faculty teachers and students of the 5th year of the Landscape and Garden Architecture study programme within the subject of arranging in cooperation with the SUA Botanical Garden.

The exhibition is dominated by ecological solutions from waste green materials.

"We recycled compost from the botanical garden. We created the basic element of the construction of the circle from wood waste, from cuttings, from materials from the spring cleaning of the botanical garden. We completed the overall composition with other materials. We tried to create an object that shows that plant waste has its next life, "said Ing. Soňa Bellérová, PhD., who participated in the preparation of the FHLE exhibition. She added that elements from bromeliads and tylandsia were used for further decorations“.
