The members of the Senate decided between three candidates – Prof. Ing. Zuzana Palková, PhD., from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Automation, Informatics and Physics, Faculty of Technology and Prof. Ing. Zdenko Tkáč, PhD., Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Transport and Bioenergetics, Faculty of Technology also accepted the candidacy
Doc. Klaudia Halászová won the required majority of votes of the members of the Senate in the first round of elections. Out of 32 valid votes, 17 senators (51.50%) expressed their support in a secret ballot.
