Science and technology week at SUA this time online

The SUA in Nitra will participate in the Science and Technology Week this year, too. This year, already the 17th year, which will take place from 9 to 15 November, will be different from previous years. For obvious reasons, the events will take place in a virtual space.

Within the framework of TVT 2020, a scientific conference of doctoral students will take place on 11 November at SUA through MS Teams. The aim of the event, organized by the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering and the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering under the auspices of faculty deans, is to present the results of doctoral students and their mutual confrontation with peers from their university, resp. Slovakia, but also abroad.

Information about the conference is available at vkd.uniag.sk.

As inaugural lectures will take place at the Faculty of Technology next week, the scientific conference of doctoral students on TVT 2020 will take place at the end of November. A link from the event will be published on the faculty website.

The Faculty of Economics and Management will participate in TVT with two selected lectures, which will take place on November 12. The first, on the topic of Climate, will take place together with a discussion with Michal Sabo on November 12, the second, entitled How to manage teams remotely, will be presented by Zoltán Labai, an AT&T expert.

An interesting exhibition under the auspices of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering is also prepared within TVT 2020. The faculty exhibition entitled Architect J. Grossmann's Building on Hospodárská Street in Nitra will be available from 9 to 30 November and it will present posters mapping the origin, development and context of the building on Hospodárská Street. The exhibition is also a partial output of the KEGA 015SPU-4/2020 project.

The aim of the annual Science and Technology Week in Slovakia is to improve the perception of science and technology in the consciousness of the whole society, popularize and present them, arouse young people's interest in studying scientific and technical disciplines, inform the public about science and technology and the need to support science and technology which underpin economic and social progress and help address global challenges.
