SUA in Nitra is the third best Slovak university in the Scimago ranking
The most successful Slovak university was Comenius University in Bratislava, ranking 573rd in the world (in 2021 it ranked 627th). The first three most successful Slovak universities are the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice in 619th place (in 2021 it was in 670th place) and the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, which ranked 651st in the global ranking (in 2021 it occupied 745th place).
The Scimago ranking evaluates universities according to three sets of indicators - research performance (50 percent), innovation performance (30 percent) and social impact measured by visibility on the web (20 percent).
The aim of the ranking is to provide institutions, policy makers and research managers with a useful metric tool for analysing, evaluating and improving their activities, outputs and results. The current edition of the ranking measured the indicators in the period 2016-2020.
