SUA received the accreditation of the prestigious DAFM international study program

The international study program is implemented by SUA together with foreign universities Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gödöllő (Hungary), Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague (Czech Republic), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (Austria), University of Novi Sad (Serbia), University of Zagreb (Croatia) and Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Timisoara (Romania). The study program is aimed at understanding the cross-cultural and regional aspects of sustainable agriculture and food technologies in search of useful paths to long-term success in Central and Eastern European agriculture. At the same time, it provides an opportunity to improve your knowledge and expand your skills with regard to intercultural and social aspects, anthropic landscape and natural resources of sustainability in agriculture and food production in the Danube region.
Our university is committed to providing quality education and research, and this accreditation is a confirmation of our pursuit of academic excellence. The DAFM program will contribute to the education and skills development of students from around the world, preparing them for successful careers in agriculture and food.
The DAFM joint study program is in line with the Food Industry field of study, which includes knowledge, skills and competences related to physicochemical and technological processes in the processing of agricultural raw materials, food production, handling and storage of finished products, culinary preparation. It also includes knowledge of internal, external and technological factors determining their nutritional value, quality and safety. The competences of the graduates of the study field are inevitably related to the need for knowledge of legal regulations covering quality, hygiene and safety in the entire food chain, skills in the field of chemical, physicochemical and microbiological analyses, material and economic balances, including the evaluation of their outputs. The supporting topics of the core knowledge of the field of study are based on the corpus of biological, chemical, physicochemical, food and technological disciplines. The number of credits required for proper graduation is at least 120.
Graduates can apply their knowledge and creatively solve problems arising from sustainable agriculture, microbiological contamination of food and raw materials for food production, with the aim of producing microbiologically safe food. They can apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities resulting from the chemical composition of food in research activities and in food industry practice. Graduates are able to manage the team for sustainable agriculture and food safety, manage food traceability procedures, crisis situations, internal control system in the company. It ensures control of food labeling and compliance with applicable legislation. Graduates can manage the internal control system in the company, they are able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, when compiling recommendations in the field of healthy nutrition and nutrition advice. They have innovative thinking and are ready to professionally present the results of their own analysis and study in front of a professional audience, they can apply knowledge in food sampling processes for analytical testing, apply risk assessment as a tool for managing food safety management systems within the ISO 22000 standards and others.
The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gödöllő (Hungary) is responsible for announcing the call for study applicants and the submission of applications is carried out in accordance with their university regulations. The Selection Committee is responsible for coordinating the annual selection of students. Applications are collected and sent to partners no later than 3 weeks after the application deadline through the dreamapply database.
