Study program "Landscape and Garden Architecture" is offered in Slovakia only by the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of SUA in Nitra. This program is recognized and accredited by the International Federation of Landscape Architects - IFLA Europe since 2012. In 2018 it was re-evaluated and accredited by IFLA Europe for the next five years. The benefit to the faculty is that the teaching methods is internationally acceptable, and for the students to have greater opportunities to find employment abroad.

Graduates of the Faculty of Engineering and of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, who have at least two years of experience and knowledge of the world language at the level of the state examination, may apply for the title of "EurIng" since last year.

On January 8, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of creation of the Slovak Republic, the president of the Slovak Republic, Andrej Kiska awarded 30 figures of social and cultural life. Among awarded scientists, artists, athletes was also Slovak grain breeder who is gradute of our university. The ceremony took place in Reduta, concert hall of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in Bratislava.

In SUA sports hall, on December 13, the 20th edition of the traditional futsal tournament was held. Its main prize is the Cup of the President of the University Organization organized by the Sports Committee of the Trade Union of Education and Science at the SUA in Nitra. Five teams - FAFR, FBFS, FEM, FE and Rectorate - took part in it.

Representatives of all six faculties of SUA in Nitra visited the Serbian Vojvodina on 6 and 7 December 2018 to introduce our university to students of grammar schools where teaching language is Slovak.
