Representatives of agricultural chambers from the Visegrad Group (V4) countries are meeting at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) on 3–4 September. The meeting is organised by the Slovak Agriculture and Food Chamber (SPPK) and brings together representatives from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

Professor Radovan Kasarda has been appointed Vice-Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) for Communication and Professional Practice. He previously served as Vice-Dean for International Relations and Professional Practice at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources.

Experts from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) contributed to the preparation of the strategic document Vision Slovakia 2040, which outlines the country’s development priorities and direction towards 2040. The document was co-created by SUA Rector Klaudia Halászová, Vice-Rector for Science and Research Professor Adriana Kolesárová, Professor Ján Pokrivčák, Head of the Institute of Economic Policy and Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Management, and Professor Ľuboš Jurík from the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.

At the age of 82, Professor Edward Pierzgalski, a renowned expert in water management in rural and forest landscapes from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and an honorary doctor of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA), has passed away.
