Marián Brestič and Marek Živčák from the Institute of Plant and Environmental Sciences FAFR SUA in Nitra were ranked best in the ranking of leading world scientists by Research.com in the field of Plant and Agronomic Sciences among Slovak experts. The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra thus reached the 245th position in the world in this scientific field.

A fresh SUA PhD student Terézia Hegerová helped save a rare peregrine falcon in Iceland. His left wing was injured and his joint was damaged.

Activated water has a positive effect on germination, growth, production and quality of plant biomass. This follows from the first verification results of research carried out by a research team from the Institute of Plant and Environmental Sciences and the Institute of Agronomic Sciences at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources of the SUA in Nitra.

The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the National Agricultural and Food Center will be represented in the International Association for the Protection of Animal Genetic Resources by Prof. Peter Chrenek as Vice president.

The Horizon 2020 research and innovation project, known for short as PoliRural (Rural Policies), coordinated by the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, has completed its four-year journey.
