Innovations in the field of ecology, environmental protection, plastic packaging, support for regional producers, growers and breeders ... These were also the topics of projects that young authors could submit to the KRAJštajn student competition by the end of March. The projects of students of agrarian trade and marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Management took the first three places in the competition.

Students of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Technology (FBFT) also joined the nationwide call Let's Help Our Agricultural and Food Industry, which was supported by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra at the end of March. They decided to help with the shortage of manpower in the food industry, and during the fight against the coronavirus, they volunteered for internships in companies that had personnel problems and needed help in this difficult situation.

A student scientific conference was held at the Faculty of Engineering of the SUA in Nitra on 15 May, this time in the form of online lectures.

This year, the 9th LE: NOTRE Landscape Forum 2020: Cross-Border Landscapes was to take place in Bratislava from 21 to 25 April. Due to the current situation, the event moved to a virtual space and turned into a one-day intensive online forum. On April 22, more than 170 experts from various parts of Europe and the world signed up for the Zoom virtual lecture room.

A delegation of scientists from the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, led by the Secretary General of the Government, Naresh Kumar, was welcomed at SUA. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Prof. Dušan Igaz.
