SUA Rector Receives Honorary Degree from Belgorod State Agrarian University

On December 1-5, Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Dr.h.c. prof. Ing.  Peter Bielik, PhD., and other representatives of SUA in Nitra visited important partner universities in the Russian Federation. The Rector was awarded Honoris Causa degree by Belgorod State Agrarian University.

Israeli Ambassador at SUA in Nitra Delivering Presentation in AgroBioTech Research Centre

Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and AgroBioTech Research Centre of SUA in Nitra co-organized a presentation of the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel in Slovakia, Mr Zvi Aviner Vapni, which was titled Challenges of development and differences between developed and developing countries: How agriculture is connected to stability in the world and how Israel shares its know-how with developing countries. It took place on 14 November in congress room of AgroBioTech Research Centre.

SUA Awarded Prestigious Award in Competition 2016 National Quality Award of the Slovak Republic

Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra was awarded the Award for the Improvement of Organizational Performance in the C category - public sector organization - in the competition entitled 2016 National Quality Award of the Slovak Republic. The prestigious Award was collected by the Rector of SUA Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. and the Vice-Rector for Education and ECTS prof. RNDr. Zdenka Gálová, CSc.

Prof. Peter Bielik became an ICA Board member for Central and Eastern Europe

On October 25, Ghent University held a General Assembly of the association of universities with a focus on agriculture and life sciences ICA. One of the items on the agenda of the Assembly was the election of the  ICA Board members for particular constituencies represented in the association.

Honorary Degree Awarded to Prof. G. Van Huylenbroeck and Prof. W. Heijman

On October 19, the main hall of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra hosted a ceremonial meeting of the Scientific Council of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and Scientific Councils of the Faculty of Economics and management and the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development in order to award the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to two internationally acknowledged scientists and pedagogues - Prof. dr. ir. Guido Van Huylenbroeck and to Prof. Dr. Wilhelmus Johannes Maria Heijman.
