Center of Excellence for white and green biotechnologies opened at FBFS

On May 28, 2015 the Center of Excellence for white and green technology was opened at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences of the SUA. It is a unique research institute consisting of several laboratories equipped with superior instrumentation technology. The invitation for the opening was accepted by the Rector of the SUA Dr.h.c. Prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., and by the Director of the Institute of Chemistry SAS (Slovak Academy of Sciences) Bratislava, Ing. Miroslav Koóš, DrSc. The opening were also attended by the experts from the FBFS.

6th CASEE conference: Latest Trends in Bioeconomy in Danube Region

The 6th International Conference CASEE: „Latest Trends in Bioeconomy in the Danube Region“ is held at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra from May 24th to 26th.

SUA representatives in talked about cooperation possibilities in Georgia

SUA Rector Prof. Peter Bielik and the Head of International  Relations Office Mgr. Vladislav Valach visited Tbilisi in the period of May 16-19. The visit, carried out within the project NoGap that is locally coordinated by the SUA Rector was designed to strengthen existing ties and bring new opportunities for cooperation with the country in the Caucasus.

Deputy of OECD Janet Schofield presented possibilities of cooperation at SUA

Janet Schofiel, OECD programme coordinator for Agrarian Research (CRP), visited the SUA on April 27, 2015. She was accompanied by  Kristína Gendová Ruzsíková, the assistant of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the former Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the SR to  OECD in Paris. The visit was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management.

Indonesian Centre opened at SUA

On April 21, 2015 a new Indonesian Centre called INDONESIAN CORNER was opened. It is a common area where our and Indonesian PhD students and experts will operate. The idea of established centre is to promote academic mobility and joint international research.
