EURUS AGRI 2013 Summer School underway

The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in cooperation with the members of Visegrad Unviersity Association organized the second International Visegrad Summer School The EURUS AGRI 2013.

Common research activities with Chinese partners discussed

A delegation from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the National Centre for Modern Agricultural Science and Technology based in Beijing, led by its director, Prof. Hui-yi Cai visited the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on June 26.

Meeting with JRC representatives

A meeting of  the representatives of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) (European Commission in Brussels), prof. Vladimír Šucha and Guy Van den Eede with experts from SUA, Constantine the Philosopher University and the Institute of Plant Genetics and Biotechnology SAS, participating in the project took place at SUA on June 17.

Chinese Ambassador declared an interest in cooperation

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People´s Republic of China to Slovakia, H.E. Pan Weifang accompanied by the first secretary Wang Ji  and the economics and commercial counsellor Wang Jingsong visited the  Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on June 11.  The delegation was welcomed by Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., vice-rectors,  faculty representatives and  the university specialists that cooperate with Chinese universities.

Prof. Walter Leal at SUA

Prof. Walter Leal of  the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany visited the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra following the invitation of the SUA Rector Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. Prof. Leal is  a director of the research transfer centre Applications of Life Sciences and the a Honorary Doctor  of universities in Europe and Latin America awarded for international research on climate change and sustainable development.
