New possibilities of cooperation with Cuba

On the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Slovak Republic, H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo visited the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra on 22 May. She was welcomed  by the University Rector Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., and Vice-rector for International and Public  Relations  prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská. The main purpose of the meeting was to start intensive mutual cooperation in education, science and research, mobility of teachers and students.

Erasmus Success story 2012

Within evaluation of Erasmus program and its effects the European Comission opens a call every year for Erasmus Success Story in given topic. Last year the topic was Supporting reform: role of Erasmus in higher education through mobility of staff and Erasmus Intensive programmes.

AgroBio Tech Contract signed

A contract for the provision of grants for the project of Building Research Centre AgroBio Tech  was signed on Monday 15th April 2013 at the Ministry of Education by the  Minister Dušan Čaplovič  and SUA Rector  Dr.hc prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD.

Project - Building Research Center "AgroBioTech" at SUA approved

On April 8, 2013 the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport Dušan Čaplovic informed the SUA Rector prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., that the SUA application for  a grant  No. 26220220525 for a project Building Research Centre "AgroBioTech" was approved with a total approved non-refundable financing 24, 993, 512.29 EUR, while the total eligible costs of the project have been approved in the amount of 26,308,960 EUR.

Nitra will start a cooperation with the South Korean city of Gyeongju

The Mayor of Nitra Jozef Dvonč welcomed  the delegation of the South Korean city of Gyeongju, led by the Mayor of Choi Yang Sikom on April 4, 2013.  The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of both countries Dušan Bella, and Park Sang-hoon as well as the SUA Rector prof. Peter Bielik and the Vice-Rector of the UKF Doc. Miroslav Tvrdoň were present at the meeting.
