Nitra will start a cooperation with the South Korean city of Gyeongju

The Mayor of Nitra Jozef Dvonč welcomed  the delegation of the South Korean city of Gyeongju, led by the Mayor of Choi Yang Sikom on April 4, 2013.  The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of both countries Dušan Bella, and Park Sang-hoon as well as the SUA Rector prof. Peter Bielik and the Vice-Rector of the UKF Doc. Miroslav Tvrdoň were present at the meeting.

Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Faculty photo competition dedicated to the World Day for Water has its winner

World Day for Water as a time to focus public attention on the critical water issues of our era is declared on 22 March. Events are organized on or around this day to increase people's awareness of water's importance in environment, agriculture, health and trade. As in previous years, some events were held also at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.

Malting and brewing course at Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences has its first graduates

In the framework of lifelong learning and on-demand of Association of Small and Independent Breweries in Slovakia, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences in Nitra applied for accreditation of Malting and brewing course.

Orientation on the world labour market

SUA Career Center as a part of the Office of Lifelong Learning organized optional lecture dedicated to the world labour market issues for students of master programmes and prospective graduates on Thursday, 21st March 2013.

Members of the Zobor ensemble donated blood

Members of the folklore ensemble Zobor of the Slovak University of Agriculture in  Nitra supported the Valentine Blood Drop event on February 4. Ten boys and girls gave blood wearing national costumes in the National  Transfusion Centre in Nitra.
