BUP with 87 member universities is one of the largest and most dynamic university networks in the world. For 30 years, it has gathered and supported colleagues, researchers and students by creating a platform for cooperation related to sustainability in the Baltic Sea region. Slovakia has been a member of this program for many years, and since 2018 the Slovak National Center of the Baltic Universities Program has been established at our university.
This year, the conference was focused on the following topics: Sustainability, Internationalization, Quality Assurance. Lucia Palšová, Vice-rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, participated in the meeting on behalf of the SUA in Nitra, who actively participated in the panel discussion focused on quality assurance.
As part of the sharing of information and examples of good practice in the field of improving the quality of education at universities, in cooperation with our Slovak National BUP Center and the Latvian National Center - Riga Technical University - a platform focused on Ensuring the quality of education was initiated and created.
The rector's conference was also attended by several students who actively participated in the organization of the event and were also part of the panel discussions, where they presented their views on the given topics as part of interviews with rectors and vice-rectors. Our university was actively presented by two students - Ing. Marina Valenčíková (FEŠRR) and Bc. Simona Halásová (FEM).
