by

Her appointment was approved by the programme’s member countries at the CRP Governing Body meeting held on 11 June 2026. She will officially assume her role on 1 January 2027 for a six-year term. As a member of the Scientific Advisory Body, she will join a select group of leading researchers from Spain, the United States, South Korea, Belgium, and Australia.

This appointment is a significant recognition of both Associate Professor Chreneková’s scientific achievements and the growing international standing of Slovak agricultural research. Her academic work focuses on rural and regional development, the social economy, and social farming. In addition, she actively contributes to OECD expert groups dealing with social and solidarity economy issues.

The appointment also reflects the strong and long-standing partnership between SUA and the OECD. Over the years, this cooperation has included participation in OECD expert working groups, joint research initiatives, international conferences, guest lectures, and internship opportunities for students and university staff. Through these activities, SUA has strengthened its international profile and contributed to discussions on key issues such as sustainable rural development, social inclusion, and the future of agriculture.
