PoliRural is successfully completed. What outputs did it bring?

Four partners from Slovakia - VIPA in Slovakia, Agroinštitút, City of Nitra, under the leadership of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra - had the opportunity to be part of this largest consortium so far in Slovak conditions.

The main goal of the PoliRural project is to make European rural places and occupations more attractive for the settled rural population and for new or potential newcomers. The project brought together the key activities needed to design effective rural policies focused on people and the future, which will also lead to the empowerment of the rural population and to more resilient rural areas.

As the project coordinator for SUA prof. Zuzana Palková informed, of the twelve pilot regions, the Slovak one was presented on many forums as the most successful, best illustrating what can be achieved within these prestigious research projects of the European Commission.

"The final evaluation of the European Commission is highly positive, not only with regard to the huge number of outputs of the project, its complexity and difficulty, but also from the point of view that a very consistent framework can be seen in all activities, despite the diversity of the large number of participating regions," stated Z. Palková.
