President Appoints Klaudia Halászová for a Third Term as Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture

In his address, President Pellegrini highlighted the crucial role of university leaders in shaping future generations of professionals and creating an inspiring academic environment. He emphasized the importance of fostering creativity, academic freedom, innovation, and stronger international partnerships, while also preparing students for the challenges of a rapidly changing world, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Assoc. Prof. Klaudia Halászová is a graduate of SUA in Nitra and holds a PhD. in Landscape Engineering. She served as Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering from 2012 to 2018 and has led the university as Rector since 2018. She was re-elected in March 2026 with strong support from the university’s Academic Senate and Board of Trustees, confirming confidence in her leadership and long-term vision for the institution.
