Professor Dušan Igaz Continues as Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering

In his new term, Professor Igaz plans to focus on maintaining the faculty’s position among leading academic institutions, supporting strong research teams, improving the quality of scientific publications, and strengthening the connection between applied research and practice. His priorities also include expanding international cooperation and projects, developing modern teaching methods, increasing the number of courses and study programmes offered in English, and supporting young researchers and teachers.
Professor Igaz graduated from the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in 1994 with a degree in land reclamation engineering and was appointed professor in Landscape Engineering in 2018. Since 2018, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering.
His research focuses on soil hydrophysical characteristics, water regime dynamics in agricultural soils, and watershed management. He has published more than 250 scientific papers and has been actively involved in numerous national and international research and educational projects.
