The current edition of the ranking includes 1,504 universities from 106 countries, while nearly 9,000 higher education institutions were considered for evaluation. The QS World University Rankings is one of the most respected global university rankings, assessing institutions annually based on the quality of education, research performance, internationalization, and other key indicators of academic excellence.

The result highlights SUA’s strengths, particularly in the areas of international research collaboration, student-to-faculty ratio, sustainability, and citation performance.

"I see our university’s placement in the QS World University Rankings as confirmation that our systematic efforts to enhance the quality of education, scientific research, and internationalization are delivering tangible results. This achievement belongs to our entire academic community. At the same time, it motivates us to continue our development and pursue continuous improvement," said Rector Klaudia Halászová.

According to Rector Halászová, the university’s position in this prestigious global ranking also confirms the Slovak University of Agriculture’s stable standing among high-quality European universities and strengthens its international visibility.

The QS World University Rankings evaluates universities using nine indicators that reflect the quality of teaching, research, and international cooperation. The most heavily weighted indicators are academic reputation (30%) and citations per faculty member (20%). Employer reputation (15%) and the student-to-faculty ratio (10%) also play a significant role. Additional indicators assess graduate employability, international research networks, the proportion of international students and faculty members, and sustainability.
