by

It was organized and technically provided by the University Farm, Kolíňany, under the leadership of the managing director, Professor Pavel Findura, together with the expert guarantor, Associate Professor Jaroslav Andreji from the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources of and the Slovak Fishing Association - Council in Žilina.

Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Fish Farming and the Fisheries Management Course participated in the event as part of practical exercises. The students had the opportunity to see the finalization of pond production - hauling fish in the fishing ground, removing fish from the net, sorting, weighing and loading the caught fish onto trucks, and some even "smell" like the fishing craft. Among other things, the pond serves as a fish sampler, an experimental workplace and a place of practical teaching and practice for students of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.

"The result of this year's "fishing harvest" was the catching of 15.8 tons of carp with an average unit weight of 1.43 kg, which was also the customer's requirement," informed the Farm executive director Pavol Findura.
