Develop Your Skills with the INVEST Alliance Fellow Programme

The INVEST Alliance Fellow Programme offers students a unique opportunity to broaden their knowledge, strengthen transferable skills and gain new perspectives beyond their primary field of study. As part of the INVEST Community of Practice – Fellow Programme, a series of online webinars will take place in November and December 2026, covering current topics in interdisciplinary research, research ethics, emerging technologies, sustainability and digital skills. The selected webinars complement the competence development areas of the SUA Doctoral School and offer students an opportunity to further develop skills relevant to their academic, research and professional careers.

INVEST Transversal Courses for PhD Students

PhD students at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra can take advantage of the INVEST Transversal Courses, offered within the INVEST European Universities Alliance. The courses are designed specifically for doctoral students and focus on the development of transferable, research, digital, communication and interdisciplinary competences. They are taught in English and are organised by INVEST partner universities.

The current offer includes 34 courses in six thematic areas:

• Language and Communication Basic Skills – 6 courses
• Basic Technology Skills – 11 courses
• Soft and Transferable Competences Within and Beyond Academia – 3 courses
• Research Management, Knowledge of Research System and Funding System – 4 courses
• Interdisciplinary Paths – 4 courses
• Green Competencies – 6 courses

The courses are available in online, hybrid or face-to-face formats, depending on the individual course. For courses organised by foreign INVEST partner universities, online participation is the most suitable option for SUA PhD students. Face-to-face participation is particularly relevant for courses organised by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.
