On May 20, President Peter Pellegrini officially appointed Associate Professor Klaudia Halászová as Rector of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra at the Presidential Palace. She will assume the position for a third consecutive term, serving from 2026 to 2030. Four other university rectors were also appointed during the ceremony.

The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, as one of the main partners of the event, invites both professionals and the general public to the 15th National Field Days 2026, taking place on 9–10 June in Dolná Krupá.

Dušan Igaz has been re-elected Dean of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra for a third term in office. The decision was made by the Faculty Electoral Assembly on 29 April, where he received 16 of the 17 votes cast for the 2026–2030 term.

Research.com recently ranked Professor Marián Brestič and Associate Professor Marek Živčák from the Institute of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra among the leading scientists in Plant Science and Agronomy. As a result, the university achieved 253rd place worldwide in this scientific field.

Three students studying tourism at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Geography, Serbia, participated in a three-week exchange mobility at the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra under the CEEPUS programme.
